Smartwatches are more than just a wearable technology not merely restricted to an “occasional glance for call notification and text messages”, as according to Huawei.
This is where the Chinese telecommunications giant’s new smartwatch, Huawei Watch 2, aims to make the wearable device relevant for today’s ever-competitive market. The Huawei Watch 2 boasts a 4G-connected Virtual Personal Assistants (VPNs) which allows users to search information, request direction or send messages and stay connected 24/7.
The smartwatch is also equipped with the NFC mobile payments function offered by Android Wear 2.0 operation system that enables users to purchase items easily without using physical cash, coin or credit card. Best of all, it has a wearing detection technology that helps prevent unauthorised payments by automatically disabled the payment function if the smartwatch is not on the user’s (owner) wrist. And for added security, the Huawei Watch 2 incorporates both infrared and CAP sensors to ensure safer mobile payments upon usage.
With the Android Wear 2.0, users are able to download standalone applications from the various stores such as fitness, music and game. This gives Huawei Watch 2 more freedom for the users to utilise the wearable device. For more info on Huawei Watch 2, click here.
