TAG Heuer has launched three limited-edition watches to honour the 30th anniversary of the late Ayrton Senna‘s first victory at the 1987 Monaco Grand Prix, in which he drove a Lotus-Honda. The legendary Brazilian driver is also highly regarded as one of the best F1 drivers ever lived, with three world championship titles (1988, 1990 and 1991), 65 pole positions and 41 Grand Prix wins.
The three limited-edition watches, which is previewed exclusively during the inauguration of the new TAG Heuer boutique in Monaco, features the Carrera Heuer-01 Senna Chronograph in black brushed steel. The watch, complete with the distinctive Senna design elements and a touch of red accents, also boasts an iridescent black skeleton dial as well as a sapphire case-back.
The other two Senna-inspired watches consist of a chronograph and a “motor racing” edition. Both of them are powered by Quartz movements, with the watches measuring 43 mm in diameter and highlighted with touches of red that evoke the feel and look of a high-speed F1 race.
