Ferrari and Swiss luxury watchmaker, Hublot, have launched their newest collaboration on the limited-edition makeover of Hublot‘s 2005 iconic Big Bang watch called Big Bang Ferrari.
The Big Bang Ferrari watch features Hublot‘s patented Unico movement which incorporates a flyback chronograph with column wheel placed on the dial side. Taking a cue from the styling of Ferrari‘s sports car design, the watch features everything from a Ferrari speed dial-like clock face to the oscillating weight that instantly evokes the Ferrari’s star-spoke wheel rims.
“This watch is the natural result of the synergy between the Ferrari design team and Hublot since we met many times to design each single detail,” said Flavio Manzoni, the senior vice president of Ferrari design.
“This kind of collaboration brings us fresh air, because we can use our creative vision to design something completely different from a car even if there are common points between the two worlds. It’s a way to use our multi-disciplinary approach,” he added.
The Big Bang Ferrari watch is set to release at the Hublot stores in January next year. Only a limited total of 1,000 pieces of titanium edition, 500 pieces of King Gold edition and 500 pieces of uni-directorial carbon edition will be available.
