Personal style of fashion designers and editors fascinates me more than that of any actors or celebrities. Among my favourites, Mr Erdem Moralıoğlu has been my main source of inspiration ever since I decided to take the minimalist route. What’s more: Mr Erdem is a “florals specialist” – his namesake womenswear label Erdem is deeply influenced by the floral patterns. For someone who loves floral, it’s hard for me not to notice him. I have the utmost respect for his design works (super chic, feminine and… floral) and I’m really interested in his “uniform” personal style.
“It’s good to be a uniform dresser. I really am an incredibly boring person when it comes to what I wear: I like a T-shirt, navy blue trousers and some Stan Smith trainers. I have a collection of Stan Smiths in various states of decay lined up beside my desk.” – Erdem Moralıoğlu
Replace “Stan Smith” with “Common Projects” (and minus the “line up”) – Mr Erdem pretty much also summed up my day-to-day dressing style.
Mr Erdem’s simple and chic uniform style serves as a great reference if you’re looking for a no-fuss yet elegant dress code. It’s “Parisian chic” all the way, and I’ll take everything in his wardrobe!
