With this year’s Christmas approaching in less than a month from now, H&M has unveiled their latest festive ad for the brand’s Holiday 2016 collection.
Titled Come Together, the nearly 4-minute short film features Academy Award winner Adrien Brody (2002’s The Pianist) as Ralph, the train conductor who encounters a series of problems on a snowy Christmas Eve. Directed by none other than Wes Anderson, the ad retains most of his signature visual aesthetics ranging from tracking shots to the attractive use of colours and symmetrical camera placements.
“The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson’s direction, is the perfect setting for H&M’s holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance. It’s about mixing the informal with a sense of occasion, capturing the holiday mood for both dressing up and getting cosy with loved ones,” said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, head of design and creative at H&M.
This is not the first time Brody has collaborated with Anderson. Prior to Come Together, they have collaborated in 2007’s The Darjeeling Limited, 2009’s Fantastic Mr. Fox and 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Without further ado, here is the short film below.
