Norweigan Designer Peter Dundas is parting ways with Roberto Cavalli after being appointed as the creative director in March last year to reinvent the Italian fashion house.

“On behalf of Roberto Cavalli and our shareholders, we thank Peter Dundas for his contribution to the brand, and we wish him well for his future,” said CEO Gian Giacomo Ferraris. It’s said that the investors and owners of Roberto Cavalli have decided to “move in a new direction” after seeing Dundas’ style as not commercial enough.

Rich, lavish and youthful design has always been Dundas’ style since his first major appointment  in 2005 as the artistic director at Emanuel Ungaro.
