Burberry has unveiled its latest collaboration with Chinese-Canadian actor and singer Kris Wu for the launch of the Kris Wu Edit in Beijing, China.
Hosted by Burberry‘s chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey, the launch took place at the SKP mall in Beijing. Apart from Kris Wu, the event was attended by more than 100 guests including Chen Ran, Fil, Han Huohuo, Li Hui, Linda, Michelle Ye, Wang Ming Chen and Wu Ling. Celebrated British DJ Becky Tong, daughter of world-famous DJ Pete Tong, played a live set.
The Kris Wu Edit collection, which consists of five favourite Burberry pieces based on a recent campaign from the actor himself, was launched earlier this month in select stores and official online store. The particular curated pieces include a Burberry trench coat made of English-woven cotton gabardine, a regimental cashmere coat, sports striped knitwear, the signature Burberry Scottish-woven cashmere scarf, and accessories such as the monogrammed version of The Rucksack.
Prior to Kris Wu‘s collaboration with Burberry, the 26-year-old heartthrob was already an established singing talent back in 2012 as part of the South Korean boy group EXO. Two years later, he debuted his solo career and also subsequently starred in movies like Somewhere Only We Know with Chinese actress and director Xu Jinglei as well as making cameo appearance in Stephen Chow‘s fantasy comedy blockbuster, The Mermaid.
