No stranger to collaborating with some of the well-known international celebrities in the past such as David Beckham, Madonna, Lana Del Rey and Kylie Minogue, Swedish clothing brand H&M is now adding The Weeknd to their roster to front their spring 2017 menswear campaign.
The 26-year-old Toronto-born singer, whose real name is Abél Makkonen Tesfaye, will be participating in the brand’s Selected by series. Dubbed by H&M as Spring Icons, the upcoming campaign will feature key pieces personally selected by The Weeknd himself. The spring 2017 menswear campaign will make its debut in stores worldwide on March 2.
The Weeknd also announced the news for his collaboration with H&M on his Instagram, which includes a picture of the singer himself donning a black bomber jacket with the XO logo. The eponymous logo is, of course, a known trademark for The Weeknd‘s own clothing label. Check out his Instagram below:
Best known for his 2015 Grammy-winning breakthrough album Beauty Behind the Madness featuring hit singles such as The Hills, Can’t Feel My Face and In The Night, The Weeknd will follow up with a new album Starboy on November 25 this year. The singer is also known for his Academy Award-nominated song of Earned It, which featured in last year’s soundtrack to the Fifty Shades of Grey film.
