Dolce & Gabbana has revealed its latest Alta Sartoria collection which takes place in the small hillside town of Cattedrale di Monreale in Palermo, Italy.
A total of 430 exclusive clients from all over the world were invited to witness the Dolce & Gabbana‘s lavish fashion show. Among the guest of honours attended the show are Countess Giorgina Brandolini d’Adda, Alessandra Borghese, Fabio Corsini, Lina Bellanca and Maria Elena Volpes.
The show, in which Italian designer and the brand’s co-founder Domenico Dolce paid tribute to William II of Sicily who built the Monreale Cathedral in 1174, inspired his Alta Sartoria collection heavily from the Norman elements with a mix of Arabic influence. Apparels such as sequin jackets with mosaic motifs and glittery gold jackets are among the highlights featured in the show that honoured the Monreale art and culture.
