Burberry has unveiled its latest runway show at London’s Old Sessions House for the brand’s Spring 2018 collection. Iconic 80s synthpop songs by the legendary Pet Shop Boys such as “Go West“, “It’s A Sin” and “You Were Always On My Mind” can be heard throughout the show.
According to Christopher Bailey, he described his collection as “a kooky, preppy, punk take on the brand” with a certain “rawness” that evokes the “working class, gritty, Northern images”.
“I like the grandeur,” said Bailey via WWD. “This building [the Old Sessions House], I think, represents what we are trying to say in the collection, there’s a little bit of grandeur, but also something that’s a bit broken down with age.”
For the menswear collection, Burberry‘s iconic check print is present in caps, trench coats, vests, trousers and jackets. Check out the lookbook above and below.
