Emerald green, a colour named after the precious stone which is coloured in such a way supposedly by the mineral Chromium within the stone. Just like the colour Eggplant, the luminous Emerald adds doses of sophistication and luxury into the things it covers.
We’re not sure how it ended up as Pantone Colour of the Year for 2013, but it is certainly not just for the St Patrick’s Day. It is an evergreen colour in menswear. Traces of emerald still appear in the Spring/Summer 2014 collection on major menswear runway, and we’d love to wear it all year round.

The best thing I learned about this rich shade of green: it works with both light and dark skin tone. I think it works especially well with dark brunette and tanned skin. (Joy to all dark and tanned Asian brothers!)
Here’s a gallery of inspiration we’ve put together. If you’re thinking of updating your wardrobe recently, pay attention to this colour on the racks. The easiest: add touches of emerald in your accessories and gadgets.
