I wanna ask your opinion about buying a gift for my friend. He recently just joined an airline as a pilot, and I’m not so sure what he likes, but I think it’d make sense to buy something traveller would use on a regular basis? Other than luggage bag, do you have any suggestion?
On Day 2 of 12 Gifts of Christmas, we present you the Dopp Kit.
Also called toiletry bag or shaving kit, Dopp Kit is a little bag used mainly to store toiletries and to keep them organised inside your luggage when you’re travelling.
I, on the other hand, use one for a different purpose, and I call mine the “driving kit.” Instead of toiletries, my “driving kit” contains keys, GPS (keeping one just in case my iPhone died or something,) receipts, cards, toll tag (Touch N’ Go,) miniature cologne, comb and whatnots. (Check out the second picture in the gallery above.) I bring it whenever I’m going out on wheels, and I just leave it in my car. You can pretty much use it for anything because it’s such a handy little bag.
I’m using Twill Dopp Kit from Everlane. Although it’s just $35, the bag really looks and feels very well-made. Stitches and the leather details (e.g. the cutting, the edge) show the kind of manufacturing quality that can only be found on a higher price tag normally.
Here are 10 Dopp Kits to think about.
