Philip Plein’s start in the fashion world isn’t like what you’d have expected. From a law student to a furniture designer and then a fashion designer, he isn’t a traditionally trained fashion professional or a heir of a fashion family. (Read more about him on Philipp Plein’s Designer Profile.)
Philipp Plein’s shows have been known for spectacles (the “showmanship”) and fun-filled performances – a far cry from the “fashion” fashion and calm shows like Carven‘s and Canali‘s.
For Philipp Plein Spring Summer 2015, Plein built a water arena (think water ballet with synchronised swimmers, rapper Theophilus London, bombing playlist plus jet ski) to go with the rather blinged-up collection.
This collection’s keywords: Biker chic, navy, stripes, patchworks, ripped denim, exotic leathers, “shark.”
