Last month, Yves Saint Laurent has announced its brand new men’s fragrance dubbed the Y. Targeted for the Generation Y born in the 1980s and 90s, the new Y is described as a fragrance for “creative, entrepreneurial and accomplished men”. The Y fragrance boasts a top note of white aldehydes, bergamot and ginger. Sage, geranium absolute and violet leaf dominate the heart of the fragrance, while the base is covered with ambergris, incense, fir balsam, cedar and musk.
Now, following the announcement, the French luxury label has unveiled a 40-second video ad titled “Y Reveal Name“. The video depicts the meaning of Y in different interpretations such as “Y Is Our Patrimony“, “Y Is A Statement” and “Y Is A Symbol“. Watch the video below.
