For years, H&M and Zara are the two retail giants that help revolutionise the term of “fast fashion”. They know how to adapt and operate swiftly to cater the general and fashion-savvy consumers in the fast-changing landscape of design trends.
But it turns out that H&M and Zara are no longer the numero uno in the world of fast fashion. According to a research note by Goldman Sachs, the “British fashion retailers ASOS and Boohoo are able to conceive, design, produce, and have clothing ready for shoppers on the sales floor quicker than Zara and H&M.”
On top of that, Goldman Sachs has also charted a like-for-like (LFL) sales vs. supply chain lead times data, in which the result shows both ASOS and Boohoo have peaked significantly higher than H&M and Zara.
