Reebok has joined forces with Massachusetts-based aerospace manufacturer David Clark Company to create a pair of space boots for astronauts.
According to Reebok‘s statement, the Reebok Floatride Space Boot SB-01 is currently being tested by astronauts to usher “the first evolution in space footwear in over 50 years”. The boots, which features the brand’s new Floatride Foam technology, are specifically designed to complement “the final space suit [that] will shuttle astronauts to and from the International Space Station in Boeing‘s new vessel, the CST-100 Starliner.”
In addition to the space boots, Reebok will be launching its latest Floatride 100g Racer which features a featherweight midsole, a mesh upper and a long-lasting outsole. The aforementioned Racer is slated to arrive sometime in 2018.
