Marco Gobbetti is set to take over the new CEO role for Burberry on July 5 this year. The company has previously named Gobbetti as a successor to replace Christopher Bailey last July.
According to Burberry, Bailey will continue his role as the brand’s chief creative officer and CEO until July 4. After Gobbetti‘s official appointment as the new CEO on July 5, Bailey will move up as the new president and chief creative officer on the same date.
Before Gobbetti‘s new CEO role on the aforementioned date, he will begin his tenure in Burberry as executive chairman, Asia Pacific and the Middle East from this month until July 4.
Prior to Gobbetti‘s appointment in Burberry, he was previously the CEO of Céline as well as the chief executive for Givenchy and Moschino.
