LVMH is about to take its fashion business to the next level as the luxury goods empire set to launch its own e-commerce site in March.
The upcoming site is said to include all 70 of its labels alongside other brands outside of the LVMH umbrella as well. The site will be part of Le Bon Marché, the iconic Parisian department store where LVMH acquired back in 1984. However, at the time of this writing, LVMH declined to comment on the report.
If the report turns out to be true, this wouldn’t be the first time LVMH ventured into the digital world of e-commerce. In 2000, LVMH used to launch its own eLuxury platform but subsequently shut down nine years later in 2009. The previously-defunct eLuxury platform has since relaunched as an online editorial site known as Nowness.
