Legendary German fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld is selected as the guest of honour for this year’s Paris Photo fair at the Grand Palais.
The annual fair, which attracts over 60,000 visitors every year since its inception in 1997, will include around 150 galleries and 30 international editors taking part for this year’s edition. As a guest of honour, Lagerfeld will personally select some of his favourite pictures from thousands of photos that are scheduled to be displayed at the Paris Photo fair. His selections are to be compiled into a special-edition book published by Steidl.
“Today, photography is part of my life,” said Lagerfeld in a press statement. “It completes the circle between my artistic and professional restlessness.”
The 2017 Paris Photo fair is scheduled to run from November 9 to 12.
