Earlier this year, H&M collaborated with international South Korean singer/actor Choi Si-won and Chinese supermodel Liu Wen to star for their brand’s Chinese New Year 2016 campaign.

Now, H&M has revealed that Chinese celebrity couple Li Chen and Fan Bingbing will front their upcoming Chinese New Year 2017 campaign. The campaign will be photographed by the renowned Chinese visual artist Chen Man.

“Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays on the lunar calendar and what better way to celebrate the season than with your loved ones?” said Li Chen, the 37-year-old Beijing-born actor who is known for his acclaimed performances in Chinese blockbuster movies including Assembly (2006) and Aftershock (2009).

“During the Spring Festival, everyone wants to stand out in style when the streets are awash in auspicious red. We hope that our campaign with H&M encapsulates the style and happiness that the Year of the Rooster brings,” said Fan Bingbing, who is engaged with Li Chen. Best known as a Chinese fashion icon and an established actress in China with movies like Lost in Beijing (2007), Shinjuku Incident (2009), Bodyguards and Assassins (2009) as well as the popular TV drama The Empress of China (2014), Bingbing has successfully made her Hollywood crossover starring in Iron Man 3 (2013) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).

The H&M Chinese New Year 2017 campaign will be launched in nine Asian markets including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines at the beginning of January next year. The 2017 Chinese New Year festive season will usher the year of the rooster on January 28.
