H&M is launching a new brand called Arket. According to the popular Swedish fast-fashion giant, the brand is described as a “modern-day market that will offer essential products for men, women, children and home.”
Apart from selling its own products, Arket will also sell different items from non-H&M brands. As for the price, it will be slightly higher than the company’s main H&M brand. For instance, men’s shirts from Arket starts at €39 (RM185) to €115 (RM545).
“The overall direction and focus is quality in simple, timeless and functional designs,” said Karl-Johan Persson, chief executive and president of the H&M group.
The first Arket retail store is slated to open in London’s Regent Street either this late summer or early fall.
