Familiar sportswear items such as zip-up hoodies, track pants and baseball jackets are given a fresh makeover for Hermès‘ latest showcase of Spring/Summer 2018 menswear collection.
Under the creative direction of Véronique Nichanian, who has been designing the French luxury fashion label’s menswear since 1988, the collection is basically a mash-up of sportswear deconstructed in a classy Hermès style. Mixed details such as white top-stitching, zipper accents and even baseball stitches are some of the prominent features used to recreate the otherwise typical sportswear apparel. Burgundy, in the meantime, is heavily used as the label’s primary colour. Other colours such as navy blue, tan, apple green, grey and black can also be seen in some of the collection.
