Gucci‘s creative director Alessandro Michele is set to launch the brand’s first menswear capsule collection with Mr Porter on May 18. The collection boasts a total of 43 pieces including ready-to-wear apparel, shoes and accessories.
“Our customer has truly embraced the new direction of Gucci under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, and we wanted to reward them with something unique,” said Toby Bateman, managing director of Mr Porter.
According to Bateman, the collection is inspired by “urbanism and self-expression” with featured items such as a lilac fil coupé shirt, a wool jacquard bee crewneck sweater and a pair of Horsebit loafers in a GG wallpaper print in mimosa. Each of the ready-to-wear pieces will also feature a yellow Gucci label, which is appeared exclusively for the capsule collection.
Prices for the capsule collection range from US$200 (RM887) to US$3,350 (RM14,858).
