Popular American clothing retailer Gap and (RED), the apparel partner of the AIDS organisation founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver, has launched a limited-edition collection of unisex utility jackets in conjunction with World AIDS Day on December 1.

The Gap x (RED) utility jackets collection features custom designs by six well-known female street artists from around the world including AIKO, FAITH XLVII, KASHINK, Kelsey Montague, Olek and Shiro. A portion of proceeds from the collection will be donated to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which in turn, added to the Gap‘s US$10 million contributions to the organisation over the past 10 years.

Gap is thrilled to partner with these talented and visionary women who are each bringing their own creative aesthetic to our iconic utility jacket. We worked closely with (RED) to select artists with diverse points of view who are creating meaningful work that inspires and empowers. Each jacket offers a unique expression that customers can wear with pride to show their commitment to (RED)‘s important mission,” said Wendi Goldman, Gap executive vice president and chief product officer.

Most of the collection is retailed at US$198 (RM883), while the special crochet jacket by Olek priced at US$298 (RM1,330). Both designs by Shiro and Kelsey Montague, which offered for boys and girls, is retailed at US$128 (RM572).
