MCM Munich Backpack

Mcm Munich Backpack Review MCM Munich Backpack

MCM used to be very hot back in the 90s.

Many might thought that MCM is an Asian or South Korean brand, but in fact, it was a German brand born in 1970s in Munich. The bag label was facing some problems after their most glorious period in the 90s, and then it was bought by South Korean luxury conglomerate Sungjoo Group and given a new life. The MCM brand is very prominent in China, Japan and Korea (60% of sales is from Asia) but it only re-entered the European and western market in recent years.

I’m not a fan of MCM monogram (yet?) so this unisex MCM Munich Backpack with minimalist design and subtle branding is just classy. Made in Italy with Italian leather, the bag is considered a “medium” in size. The interior lining is made of Lambskin nappa leather while the hardware is silver. Very classy for both work and leisure but one point to note: this backpack isn’t meant for heavy duty. In other words, it’s not advisable to carry heavy items as it will likely change the shape of the bag.

MCM Munich Backpack is retailed at $1187.
