In support of Ralph Lauren‘s “Way Forward” plan to strengthen the brand’s leadership team, Ralph Lauren Corporation has recently appointed two new senior executives.
Former Tom Ford International executive vice president and chief operating officer Tom Mendenhall will be serving as brand president of Men’s Polo, Purple Label and Double RL. Prior to his decade-long tenure at Tom Ford International, Mendenhall was a worldwide director of merchandising at Gucci for 8 years and a senior vice president at Abercrombie & Fitch for 2 years.
The second appointed role is Jonathan Bottomley, a former chief strategy officer of VIRTUE Worldwide at VICE’s Creative Services Agency named as Ralph Lauren‘s chief marketing officer. His new role responsibility includes “evolving Ralph Lauren‘s brand voice” as well as “leading the global marketing team and developing marketing strategies across the company”. Bottomley also previously worked for Facebook as a creative council member and BBH London as chief strategy officer.
